Attorney Sorgen has been practicing in Ohio since 2007 after earning her law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law, a private law school located in the middle of a cornfield in Ada, Ohio.
After sitting for the bar exam, Ashley returned to the Columbus area – home of her alma mater (the Ohio State University) and the beloved Buckeyes – to work with estate planning and elder law attorneys focused in revocable living trusts, special needs planning, and long-term care preparedness. In 2010, she returned to school for a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Estate Planning and Elder Law, which she earned from Western New England University School of Law in 2012. Ashley is one of a select few of Ohio attorneys to have earned this distinction.
Today, Ms. Sorgen is a proud new member of the Medina County community where she is active with the Medina County Bar Association, the Medina County Senior Services Network, the Medina County Estate Planning Council, the Ohio Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, and the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. You may see her out in the community working with Seniors; speaking at public and private seminars on the topics of advanced health care directives, powers of attorney, the importance of planning for the care of adult children with special needs, and how to prepare for your own long-term care needs; or just walking around the Square with her friendly Boston Terrier, Junebug.
